Understanding the Conditions
What is ME/CFS?
Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) is a serious, long-term illness that affects many body systems. People with ME/CFS are often not able to do their usual activities and may be confined to bed. The hallmark symptom is Post-Exertional Malaise (PEM)—a crash after even minor physical or mental activity.
What is Fibromyalgia?
Fibromyalgia is a condition that causes pain all over the body, sleep problems, fatigue, and often emotional and mental distress. Living with Fibromyalgia means managing chronic widespread pain and increased sensitivity to pressure, often accompanied by cognitive difficulties known as 'fibro fog'.
Patient Stories & Symptoms
- "Some days, just brushing my teeth feels like running a marathon. The fatigue isn't just being tired; it's a physical weight that roots me to the bed." — Sarah, 34
- "The pain is constant, like a low-voltage electricity running through my limbs. I just want people to understand that I'm fighting an invisible battle every single hour." — Michael, 42
- "Lost and confused in 'brain fog' during a simple conversation. It's frustrating when your mind fails to connect the dots you've known your whole life." — Elena, 29

What is Fibromyalgia?
Fibromyalgia is clinical condition characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain accompanied by fatigue, sleep, memory and mood issues. Researchers believe that fibromyalgia amplifies painful sensations by affecting the way your brain and spinal cord process painful and nonpainful signals.

What is Fibromyalgia?
Fibromyalgia is a condition that causes pain all over the body, sleep problems, fatigue, and often emotional and mental distress. People with fibromyalgia may be more sensitive to pain than people without fibromyalgia. This is called abnormal pain perception processing.
